Membership

• Membership. At Safehaven membership is not a privilege. It's an invitation to belong to an extended family. Welcome to a strong community.
• What unites the members of the Safehaven community is a belief that every child deserves a childhood with love, fun, family and friends.
• The commitment is clear. It's a promise to make a difference in the lives of families that have children and youth with multiple disabilities and complex medical needs.
• Families have 24/7 access to Safehaven residential residences in Aurora, Etobicoke, North York and Woodbridge, as well as the respite residence on Bloor Street in Toronto.

Member Categories

There is only one level of membership - - committed. The categories of membership are "voting" and "non-voting". Voting members must be over 18 years of age and be a member of the immediate family of a child involved with Safehaven, volunteers, committee members and persons elected to the Board of Directors.

Membership Fees

• Membership is $10 per person.
• Life membership is $150 per person.
• Annual membership corresponds with our fiscal year and runs from April 1st to March 31st of the following year.
• Membership in Safehaven demonstrates your commitment to support and abide by our mission and purpose. We know every child matters.
• The Annual General Meeting allows members to hear the annual report of the Board of Directors, the financial statements and a report from the auditor. Members elect the Boards of Directors and the auditor for the coming year.
