Out of over 190 member agencies of OASIS, Safehaven is honored to receive the 2021 Membership Leadership Award. As part of this recognition, Safehaven will also receive a $1,000 donation from OASIS.
(TORONTO—June 30, 2021) — We are proud to announce that Safehaven has been nominated and selected as this year’s recipient of the Member Leadership Award from the Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs (OASIS).
OASIS is dedicated to helping improve the life of those individuals living with developmental disabilities in Ontario and their families. OASIS provides leadership through sharing ideas, information and knowledge, and interacts with government and other organizations on key issues. With 192 members across Ontario, Safehaven is humbled to receive this award, and join the ranks of distinguished organizations that demonstrate collaboration, partnership, and professionalism that inspires our community.
The Membership Leadership Award recognizes Safehaven for its excellence, innovation and leadership in the developmental services sector. As part of this recognition, Safehaven is also grateful to receive a $1,000 donation from OASIS.
This award comes following a breakthrough year of Safehaven’s leadership in the Toronto Region’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) initiatives, COVID-19 vaccine accessibility for persons with disabilities and medical complexities, and collaboration with the Ontario Ministries of Health and Children, Community and Social Services and our community partners in the developmental services sector.
“To receive this recognition from our peers and this organization that represents all of our agencies for the work we are doing is an honor. We are so thankful to OASIS and our community for this award,” says Susan Bisaillon, Safehaven CEO. Susan leads Safehaven in dedicating this honor to fellow developmental service organizations and community partners, our ministry partners and most of all, the clients we advocate for and whose resilience inspires us every day.
We are advocates. We are changemakers. We are partners. We are community.
